Jardim Botânico - Rio de Janeiro
Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden has a very interesting history in Rio de Janeiro's senário , Carmelita frei Leandro do Santíssimo Sacramento , a professor of botany recognized for his studies of Brazilian flora, acquired the rights of Jardim Botânico when he became director in 1824, previously it was called Imperial Botanical Garden and had started to receive visitation recently.

We can say that it is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved green areas in the city, it is an example of the diversity of Brazilian and foreign flora.

The institution is responsible for coordinating the List of Species of Flora do Brasil and for assessing the risk of extinction of these species, a magical place with a super welcoming touch that will take your breath away and delight any visitor.
