Carneiros Beach
Praia dos Carneiros is characterized by tall coconut trees, white and fine sand and calm, warm waters practically all year round, its landscape is shaped by a large reef barrier that forms natural pools at low tide .
The beach's attractions are the Capela de São Benedito, a small church from the 18th century considered a postcard, where wedding and baptism ceremonies take place..
On rainy days, the flow of the river increases and the waters suffer color and temperature variation, but on sunny days sea water predominates in the estuarine zone.

The lands in the region where Praia dos Carneiros is located belonged to the Viscount of Rio Formoso.
The locality, however, is very old.
Its name comes from the name of one of the former owners of the area, José Henrique Carneiro
