Macumba beach
Because it was the place where supporters of religions like Umbanda and Candomblé used to make their offerings to Iemanjá and orixá. Its name was originally Praia do Pontal de Sernambetiba, but almost nobody calls it by it.
Its sand is fine and very white, There is a variation from green to the blue of the sea, clear, clean and cold waters, great for a good swim during the summer.
On weekends it is difficult to find a space in the few parking lots available on site. During the week is when Praia da Macumba is more empty and quiet.
