Praia das Enchovas - Ilhabela
Praia das Enchovas

Praia das Enchovas has about 600 m of thick yellowish monazite sand and many round stones, it is one of the beaches in the south of Ilhabela and is located between Bonete and Indaiaúba, one of the longest beaches on the island.

The beach takes its name from the fish on the typical caiçara menu, traditionally prepared wrapped in a banana leaf and cooked buried in the ground.

At its right end there is a river flowing into it, just before the stone walls that form the coastline from Ponta de Enchovas.

There are two ways to get to the beach. One of them, the fastest one, is de boat, bypassing a Ponta da Sepituba, in the extreme south of the island, and passing through Bonete.the other is done by a trail of approximately 3 km from Bonete.

During the journey, you will be able to have a panoramic view of the beach from where you can see its cove with greenish waters and Laje do Carvão.
